Artist of the Week: Paul Carrack

This week's Artist of the Week is Paul Carrack.
Listen to Paul Carrington each afternoon, around 2.30pm he'll play a classic track which features Paul Carrack.

Paul is, of course, the voice of such undisputed classics as Ace's 'How Long,' Squeeze's 'Tempted,' the Mike & the Mechanics anthems 'The Living Years' and 'Over My Shoulder' and many others. He was a distinguished member of all three bands, recorded and toured with countless others including Roxy Music, Ringo Starr, B.B. King, Elton John and the Pretenders, and has had his songs cut by the Eagles, Diana Ross and Tom Jones to name only a few.

As a solo artist, Carrack continues to enhance an illustrious catalogue that stretches back to 1980, and a measure of his standing among legions of fans, the first announcement of the impending release of Soul Shadows

Soul Shadows features no fewer than ten brand new Carrack compositions alongside just one remake, and six of the songs feature a string and horn section to die for. Most of the album's instrumentation is by Paul himself, working in his newly-refurbished home studio, with his son Jack once again joining him on drums

If you want to win a copy of Paul's new album Soul Shadows just answer the simple question below.
